Presented here is some of my work for my hobby sites of different varieties. I often use my hobby sites to sharpen my existing skills, and also to learn new skills that I can implement professionally.

Paint By Pixel is a Livejournal icons archive. I wanted a simple, easily navigatable website that did not require a lot of updates, with my constantly busy schedule. I worked with a stock photo from GettyImages, which I then manipulated using my own color palette, texture, and airbrushing. I used a brush from V-Brush to achieve the 'painterly' quality. I wanted a light, summery, and simple yet appealing feel to the layout, and a clean way of presenting the content.

By Starlight is a 'fansite' all about the fictional character Chiba Mamoru from the popular anime/manga Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon. I used a wine and creme color scheme to complement the wonderful illustration of Tokyo at night. The site delves very deep into the character and there is much to read, download and look at to keep the user occupied, and hopefully returning again.
